Dolphin Minerals was established back in the early 1990s when, through a happy accident, Alex Harcourt began to import rare amber and minerals from Russia. Alex now spends his time travelling the world sourcing, selecting, and importing amazing products and specimens from over 30 countries around the world. With most products being hand selected and overseen by Alex himself, we guarantee our customers get the best quality and biggest variety at the best price.
With over 30 years of experience of buying and supplying to the gemstone gift industry throughout the UK and Europe we have the knowledge, enthusiasm, and experience required to ensure our customers receive the best quality, choice and value available when they are shopping with us.
VISITING OUR WAREHOUSE
Visiting our stunning warehouse in York, North Yorkshire is the only true way to see our vast Aladdin’s cave of fantastic gemstones, minerals, crystals, fossils, carvings, gifts and jewellery.
Showroom Opening Times: Monday to Friday, 9am until 5pm.
Evenings and weekend visits available on request, please call for details (Minimum budgets of £500 applies to evening visits, and £1000 for weekend visits)
MOBILE SHOWROOMS
Here at Dolphin Minerals, we like to make sure all our UK customers have access to our extensive range of crystals, minerals, fossils, and jewellery regardless of location and ability to visit the showroom in York. To facilitate this we have two fully stocked mobile showrooms which cover the whole of the UK, visiting customers and showcasing our stock.
Our experienced mobile showroom sales representatives have extensive knowledge of the products we sell and take pride in picking the best stock to load their vans up with.
Visits from our vans are best suited to those with a budget of £1500+.
BUYING ONLINE WITH US
We have made ordering online with us as easy and efficient as possible. Once you have finished picking from our great online selection, simply head to the checkout and place your order. If there’s anything you’re looking for that isn’t listed online, simply add a message to the end of your order or give us a call!
You should then receive an email to let you know we have your order, after someone has picked your order we will contact you for payment and to confirm delivery address. Your order will then be packed and sent out with our chosen courier on next day delivery. Please note that orders going to some places within the UK and Ireland may take an additional day.
Our minimum spend online is £100, orders over £250 (before VAT) may be eligible for free delivery subject to terms. For more information please click here.

If you need more stock and can’t get to the showroom you can email a list of the products you’d like to purchase and one of our team members will get it picked, packaged, and sent out to you as soon as possible. If you are unable to email us, you can always call us on our sales number: 01904 786744, but please remember staff will have limited time to select your order so make sure you know what products you need to help save time.
